A Nonlinear Multiobjective Bilevel Model for Minimum Cost Network Flow Problem in a Large-Scale Construction Project

چکیده
The aim of this study is to deal with a minimum cost network flow problem MCNFP in a largescale construction project using a nonlinear multiobjective bilevel model with birandom variables. The main target of the upper level is to minimize both direct and transportation time costs. The target of the lower level is to minimize transportation costs. After an analysis of the birandom variables, an expectation multiobjective bilevel programming model with chance constraints is formulated to incorporate decision makers’ preferences. To solve the identified special conditions, an equivalent crisp model is proposed with an additional multiobjective bilevel particle swarm optimization MOBLPSO developed to solve the model. The Shuibuya Hydropower Project is used as a real-world example to verify the proposed approach. Results and analysis are presented to highlight the performances of the MOBLPSO, which is very effective and efficient compared to a genetic algorithm and a simulated annealing algorithm.

Effects of Project Uncertainties on Nonlinear Time-Cost Tradeoff Profile
This study presents the effects of project uncertainties on nonlinear time-cost tradeoff (TCT) profile of real life engineering projects by the fusion of fuzzy logic and artificial neural network (ANN) models with hybrid meta-heuristic (HMH) technique, abridged as Fuzzy-ANN-HMH. Nonlinear time-cost relationship of project activities is dealt with ANN models. ANN models are then integrated with ...

In this study, a multiobjective optimization is applied to Optimal Power Flow Problem (OPF). To effectively achieve this goal, a Multiobjective Ant Lion algorithm (MOALO) is proposed to find the Pareto optimal front for the multiobjective OPF. The aim of this work is to reach good solutions of Active and Reactive OPF problem by optimizing 4-conflicting objective functions simultaneously. Here a...
متن کاملMultiobjective design of sewer networks
The sewer layout in flat areas significantly influences the construction and operational costs as well as reliability of the network performance. To find an optimum design of sewer networks for flat areas, this study presents a multi-objective optimization problem with the objective functions of 1- the cost and 2- the reliability. The reliability criterion is defined as the effect of a clogging...
متن کاملBilevel programming model and solution method for mixed transportation network design problem
By handling the travel cost function artfully, the authors formulate the transportation mixed network design problem (MNDP) as a mixed-integer, nonlinear bilevel programming problem, in which the lower-level problem, comparing with that of conventional bilevel DNDP models, is not a side constrained user equilibrium assignment problem, but a standard user equilibrium assignment problem. Then, th...
متن کاملAN EFFECTIVE METHOD FOR SIMULTANEOUSLY CONSIDERING TIME-COST TRADE-OFF AND CONSTRAINT RESOURCE SCHEDULING USING NONLINEAR INTEGER FRAMEWORK
Critical Path Method (CPM) is one of the most popular techniques used by construction practitioners for construction project scheduling since the 1950s. Despite its popularity, CPM has a major shortcoming, as it is schedule based on two impractical acceptance that the project deadline is not bounded and that resources are unlimited. The analytical competency and computing capability of CPM thus...
